Everybody's youth is only what they make it

Thank you for all the kind words about the new site design! Many of you noticed some kinks in the archive that caused the "next" and "previous" buttons to not function properly, but as far as we can tell all of these issues are now fixed. However, if you find any other things that have gone horribly wrong, please let me know!

Just a reminder: hoodies and babydolls are available in all our designs, but only until Friday. Friday will also be the last day that our three new designs will be available in multiple colours. After that, the colours that were the most popular will become the permanent ones, and the others will fade into obscurity! How cruel, the hands of fate!

Pow!

Today's comic is the first in a three-part series focusing on our favourite record executive. I think you will enjoy this brief window into his world. (And by enjoy, I mean "be horrified.")

I'm a filthy liar! An hour or two ago, I claimed in this space that the new site layout would not be going live today. But I was wrong, friends. Ashton managed to get it all coded up today after all! (Be sure to project psychic kind thoughts his way!)

Basically, I had two major goals in mind when I designed the new site. First, I wanted to give the comic a more prominent and visually-dominant place on the page. Before, sitting in a white box in a black box in a white box, surrounded by little buttons and banners, it just seemed to get lost. So, I came up with this desaturated greyscale colour scheme, where the comic is the only place on the page with large concentrations of pure white and pure black. Then I added a new navigation menu and ad sidebar that are a little cleaner-looking and hopefully a little less distracting than the older versions.

Secondly, I wanted to make the website less intimidating to new readers. So, I've restructured the comic archive into major story arcs, pointing out each and every easy jumping-on point in the overall storyline. I created a new reader page to help guide visitors figure out where to start. And Ashton implemented a cool tagging system that will allow people to mark their place as they work their way through the archive.

I hope you all enjoy the new layout. (Although if you don't, you're kind of boned either way!) Please let me know if you encounter any broken links or other troubles.

As the banner says above, this is the last week to order any hoodies or babydolls in any of our shirt designs. Right now we're offerring them in every design in the store, old and new. If you were hoping to nab one of these for the gift-giving season, be warned that this is the last time we will be making them available until the new year.

Chonk!

Tune in next time for the shocking conclusion bypassing of this week's cliffhanger!

Also tune in for the brand new Sam and Fuzzy website, which will finally launch on Monday!

Have a happy holiday weekend, Americans! Do not let yourself be swept away by the season's relentless tide of rampant, unbridled consumerism. (Unless, of course, you would like to do that here!)
