Twits

Are any of you folks into this Twitter business? Because as of last Friday, I have a Twitter account. And I'll be using it regularly for... uh, whatever it is you are supposed to use it for. I'm still figuring that part out. But I have to admit, it's pretty fun to write something so stream-of-consciousness... even if that stream is limited almost entirely to pop culture references and harassing Jeph.

More comics and another round of Q&A on Friday! See you then.

The Webcomics Weekend quickly approaches, and the lists of artist guests and other cartoonists in attendance are growing increasingly enormous. Friends, if you find yourself in the area, be sure to swing by. Attendance is completely free and open to everyone!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: X-treme Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"What's with the IV on Aaron's hoodie? Does he really like the number 4? Or is he all about giving hospital patients a drip of drugs and/or saline?" -Todd

That's actually the logo of the Sam and Fuzzy universe's leading brand of sportswear. You can actually find it in strips as early as this one. It's something I came up with when I was a little kid, probably by mashing the Nike and Adidas logos together. I used to have a lot of fun coming up with fake brand names.

I was a pretty cool kid.

"Is Devahi wearing a bindi?" -Emkei

Yes.

Well, that one was easy!

"I'm a Graphic Design student and an aspiring graphic novelist and was actually curious to know, is "Sam and Fuzzy" your full time employment?" -Davin

Some of you will already know this... but in addition to making Sam and Fuzzy, I also do design work and illustration for YES Mag and KNOW, a pair of really excellent bimonthly Canadian children's science magazines. I split my time pretty evenly between working on the magazines and the comic, and they each make up about half my income.

In other words, it's thanks entirely to the financial support of my readers that I am able to devote half my work week to creating Sam and Fuzzy, and I feel very privileged for it. You guys are incredibly awesome.
