Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Canadian Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"You're Canadian? Really? Huh. So are Sam'n'Fuzzy Canadian, then?" -Fluffy

I'm not really sure, to be honest.

Sam and Fuzzy definitely takes place in United States. For a long time, I've operated under the assumption that Sam was a Canadian who moved to the US because of his scholarship. But then that raises all sorts of questions about why he's still able to live there. Does he have a green card? Did he change citizenship? Or is he one of those rare people who, for one reason or another, already had dual citizenship?

Anyhow, it's never really come up in the strip itself. And until it does, I totally reserve the right to change Sam's designated country of origin in an abrupt and arbitrary fashion.

"Since your 1 dollar denomination is a coin, it would just slip out of a stripper's G-string. What do Canadians do instead?" -BS Waddington

Just put it in her pocket. (In Canada, it's much too cold to strip down to anything less than a full parka.)

"I was wondering if there is any specific reason why your comic isn't using the Oh No Robot search engine? Although you have a very nicely organized archive (and you yourself usually cut your reader's work for them by linking to specific comics when they are referenced) I think it would definitely be something interesting given the massive amount of comics you have produced for us. " -Loïc

Pure laziness, I'm afraid! For those of you who don't know, Oh No Robot is a search engine that allows you to search for words or phrases in webcomics dialogue. I always thought it was a great idea... but I guess I just never really got around to slipping the appropriate code into Sam and Fuzzy's html.

I will look into it! (By which I mean, I will ask Ashton to look into it.)

"My friend and I decided to check whether or not a skillet makes such a fantastic 'Wong' sound. Sadly, it made more of a dull crack sound. What kind of skillet do you recommend for defense against vampires/Twilight fangirls?" -Chris

Well, Chris, I... wait a minute. You "checked"? How did you check?

I bet you go through friends quickly!

That's it for this week! Have a nice long weekend, everyone. But don't forget to tune in on the holiday Monday for our next strip!

Instincts

I swear I didn't create this entire story as an excuse to draw an Edward-esque vampire getting repeatedly smacked in the face. Honest.

Hard to believe, but after years of nigh-unwavering amusement, Scary Go Round will soon be coming to a close. John has some pretty cool-looking stuff in store for his next project... but you don't have to wait for that! The entire SGR archive is just sitting there, ready for you to plow through the whole shebang in one gigantic comic strip binge.
