Sam and Fuzzy Q & A: Fridge Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"OMG, Is that FRIDGE in Wednesday's strip? (Also, Fuzzy is going to be OK, right?)" -Allison

Haha! Yes, he did make a small cameo. I don't think many people noticed, though! He was such an important figure in a chunk of Fuzzy's memories, it didn't seem right to leave him out.

As for Fuzzy... he seems mostly all right in today's strip, right?

"Is Brain male or female? For some unfathomable reason I keep putting his/hers/its voice into a deep baritone in my head and I'm becoming more and more curious as to if I have it completely and totally wrong..." -Josh

Well... Fuzzy thought he had a male voice. So I don't see why it couldn't be a deep baritone! I personally picture him speaking in a very calm, clinical and unflustered sort of way at almost all times. (When he lets his anger get the better of him he just tends to devolve into hissing.)

"Where is Mr. Ackerman by now? Has he heard of the Ninja Mafia Service that Sam has started? Also, has Sam paid him back yet?" -Anthony

Mr. Ackerman is still happily retired, I assume! And although it was never mentioned, I like to think that Sam finished paying him off sometime during the year he worked as a roadie for Noosehead.

Has Ackerman heard of NMS? That's a good question... but probably one I shouldn't answer, lest I spoil a future plot development (or non development, as the case may be). He does live in the same city as their base of operations. (The retroactively named city of Newport, setting of both the original taxi strips and the current stories.)

Anyhow, that's a wrap for this week. Come back on Monday for our next instalment!

Deviant pandas

Rikk's new Skull Panda site thunders along, unabated and without mercy. It is kind of weird, actually. I'm not sure how I feel about my site no longer being the internet's primary delivery system of new Skull Panda material. But I guess I can still be a sort of... Skull Panda ambassador?

In other news, I have bitten the bullet and signed up for a deviantart account -- not, as you might assume, so I can post all my hot human-form My Little Pony erotica, but so I can share all the various freelance work and commissions and other miscellaneous stuff that I draw. Deviantart ain't perfect, but it's a solid system for sharing and commenting on art, and a lot of artists I like are already using it, so I figure it was worth a shot.

Anyhow, have a look! I've gotten to draw a lot of cool commissions the last few months in particular and I'm eager to show them off. (And potentially drum up some more of them!)

Skull Panda

Something truly terrifying happened over the weekend: Rikk Estoban started posting Skull Panda comics to Tumblr. I always knew this day would come. It seems like it's going to be a mix of "classic" and brand new Skull Panda strips, plus god knows what else, updated... well, probably whenever he feels like it. It's probably worth keeping an eye on. You know, the way you keep an eye on a mole to see if it might be cancerous.

Hmm. I wonder if I'll have to stop cruelly caricaturing him in Sam and Fuzzy now that he has his own website with which to retaliate?

...nah.

I'm super proud of the comics running this week! Come back on Wednesday for my favourite of the lot.
