Shopping Cart

You gotta gimme that

Edit: Well, apparently a lot of readers have never heard of a shopping cart that requires inserting a quarter in order to use it. I assumed this was true of all shopping carts everywhere. Some readers have suggested that cart deposits must be strictly a Canadian thing, but I don't think that is the case. Weird, either way.

Behold my mighty powers of suggestion!

There's a pair of webcomics I'd like to recommend to you all today. The first is Instant Classic, a comic with which many of you are already familiar, as it is both a Dayfree Press member and a fellow competitor at Top Web Comics. If you aren't already reading Brain Carroll's hillarious take on film making, you should be.

The second comic, which you probably haven't read before, is Monkey Business. Karl Wang's stupid humour (and I mean that in the best possible way) and fantastic sketchy artwork are a perfect match. Besides, I like it, so it has to be good! Right? Right? Guys?

cough

I can't stop talking about the new Sloan album. Sloan was already one of my favourite bands, and their new disc rocks harder then anything they have ever recorded before. If you like rock music, you need this CD. Although, I guess you can't buy this album if you don't live in Canada... and for that, I feel very sorry for the rest of the world.

Please see the attached file for details

Listen to me very carefuly. There is a virus floating around called SOBIG.F. It arrives as a file attachment to an email with the message "See the attached file for details." When the virus infects your computer, it searches all your files for email addresses, including any archived websites in your temporary internet files folder. It then spams those email addresses with copies of itself non-stop. I have recieved over 500 copies of this virus today. I recieved 11 copies just in the time it took me to write this update. My anti-virus software protects me from the infection, but not from the annoyance of 500 freaking spam messages.

Understand that if you are infected with this virus and you read Sam and Fuzzy, you are spamming me with it right now. Please download the patch that finds and removes the virus. I don't want to wake up to another 500 stupid emails. And for the love of pete, get some anti-virus software if you don't already have some! Yeesh!

On a much happier note, I have two extremely rad pieces of fanart in the gallery. The first is a neat one that comes from Jeph Jacques of Questionable Content. I probably find the notion of Sam and Fuzzy discussing copyright rules funnier than I should. The second drawing is an insane rendition of Sam and Fuzzy anime characters, complete with a giant taxi-mech, and was made by my own sweetie Alteka. I wish I had a taxi-mech.

But all I have is SPAM SPAM SPAM!

Rinse, lather, repeat

There's another nifty piece of fanart in the gallery -- this one comes from Glee Studios' Alex C.
I know that most other webcartoonists don't individually announce every single piece of new fanart, but I can't help it. Maybe it's just because the novelty of it all hasn't worn off yet, but I still get pretty excited when I see someone else's interpretation of my characters.
