Showdown

As promised, here's a sneak peek at one of the new t-shirts that will be going on sale on Monday!

The art won't be QUITE so big in relation to the actual shirt, but I made it bigger so it would be sufficiently visible here on the wubs. It's based on one of my favourite Sam and Fuzzy panels ever. But it was my good comrade John who came up with the idea of using that panel as the basis for a shirt. It took me forever to draw the design, and the final product is pretty different from the kind of shirts I've done before, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I've been wanting to do a Mr. Blank shirt for ages, but he didn't really lend himself to the standard simple-image/witty-text shirt formula. I think this kind of visual suits his character much better. Also, I mean, come on, it's pretty badass, just look at it. I am banking on the idea that there is a market for shirts that sport an army of killer ninjas instead of a catch phrase.

This shirt, along with one or two others and a resurrected t-shirt custom 3-pack, will go on sale on Monday. Consume!

We have a TF2 server

Any of you folks out there playing Team Fortress 2? I know I am. It's a rock-solid class-based online shooter... one that's unusually paired with a lush, cartoony visual style that (as you probably could have guessed) I absolutely love.

Well, Claire got together with some of the folks from the forums and set up a dedicated TF2 server. Now they've decided to open it up to any our readers who would like to join them. If you're interested, head on over to this forum thread to get the login information and/or set-up play times with other folks. If you're lucky, you may even get to witness just how bad I am at first person shooters. (Spoiler: really bad.)

Meanwhile, if all goes according to plan, new t-shirts will go on sale on Monday! Hopefully on Friday I will be able to provide a sneak peek. It's been awhile since I've had any new shirts, but I think that time off has resulted in some fun designs. I guess we'll find out who agrees with me soon enough!

What's even catchier than Mahna Mahna? Why, Mahna Mahna, covered by Cake. Just click the song's name in the track-listing if you want to have a 15-second melody stuck in your brain from now until the end of time. (And really, who doesn't?)

In other news, I'm in the process of collecting quotes from various printers for my next book. Are you excited? I'm pretty excited! Hopefully, this volume will be up for sale (or at least preorder) before the Christmas holiday hits.
