Gone Fishing

Your regularly scheduled webcomic author is in the midst of a self-prescribed vacation... reaching you now only through the miracle of automated website updating. But Sam and Fuzzy continues unimpeded, with brand new comics primed up and ready to appear every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until I am back. Cheers!

Gone Fishing

Whew! I don't like to get all bloggy on you all, but man...rough week. Rough enough that I think I'm going to cut myself some slack and take a break for a bit. To be perfectly honest, I don't think my brains are even capable of producing anything worth reading right now, unless you want to read a photo-comic about two talking potatoes.

Fortunately for you all, in an extremely rare moment of organization, I actually have a buffer of completed strips for once! So, while I'm off on vacation, Sam and Fuzzy will keep updating as usual, three comics a week... just maybe with a little less input from me down here in the big rounded white box. And as for me, I'll be back soon... refreshed and completely potato-free. The weekend starts tomorrow, and no one can feel bad about that!

We're the nation that's free and fun

One of my long-time favourite bands, Sloan, has released a new CD. I know I've plugged Sloan a zillion times on this site already, but in my defense, they have a lot to plug -- "Parallel Play" is their ninth album!

Admittedly, it feels a bit strange going back to a standard-length disc after being totally spoiled by their 30-track, 70+ minute rock opus, "Never Hear the End of It". But the new album still has plenty to enjoy, and like all of Sloan's work, is an instant recommendation to anyone who enjoys solid, classic rock and roll. Anyone curious can preview four tracks over on the band's MySpace page.

Obligatory Conscience Cat limited print update: all the prints that have been ordered so far have now been mailed out. Meanwhile, for any procrastinators out there still looking to order, it looks like I'm getting down to my last few copies. I can't say for certain exactly when I will run out, but once they're gone, they're gone. So act now... or don't! Live dangerously. (You rockstar, you.)
