And a one, two, three, four

Next week: a new story begins!

Prints mail out today! Apologies for the time it took to get them out, everyone. Shipping was delayed slightly while my computer -- which had all the order records and addresses on it -- was out of service.

And yes, for anyone who is interested, there are still a few prints left to purchase. The first 85 went quick enough, but I swear I feel like I've been sitting on these last 15 forever!

(Don't worry, potential buyers... I have not actually literally been sitting on them.)

I'll never let go, Samus

This week's double whammy of triple-length strips was brought to you by me still not playing Metroid Prime 3 yet. If that's not dedication to the craft, I don't know what is!

A number of folks have sent in possible solutions to the Bioshock woes I mentioned on Monday, but I haven't actually had a chance to try any of those, either. This week, I've just been too busy... being a cartooning machine.

Vwrrrt!

Primed

Metroid Prime 3 finally arrives this week! Was there any 2007 title that I was more excited about than this one? No there was not.

However, Bioshock did place a very close second. Unfortunately, I am having a heck of a time getting the demo to work on my computer, and that in turn is not exactly encouraging me to rush out and buy the full version. The demo itself looks lovely and runs incredibly smooth, but every time I've played it has randomly crashed -- always in a completely different area of the game, and always after only a few minutes of playtime.

I've got a system well above the minimum requirements, I've got the latest beta Nvidia drivers and all the appropriate Direct X updates, and I've got absolutely nothing else running in the background. I can't for the life of me figure out where I'm going wrong -- and I sure wish I could, because as incredible as the first five minutes of the demo are, I am sure getting sick of playing them over and over.

Has anyone else out there had this problem? (And, more importantly, found a way to fix it?) Because I'd really like to take a crack at the full version.

(Right after I finish Prime 3.)
