Saucy Hippo

This Buddy-bot Eraser-cam footage -- unearthed by Edison -- was filmed during the prologue to this very volume of Sam and Fuzzy. Did you recognize it?

Also: it's Gertrude! In case you need a refresher: the last time we saw the Underground's most successful ex-ninja-mafioso-turned-burlesque-business-magnate was during the Off the Sauce storyline, when Dev needed her help to pull off a different questinonable scheme. (We'll see how it goes this time!)

I'm busy packing up for this weekend's Edmonton Expo, so I'll leave you all for now. But come back on Friday for our next comic!

Super Pins

Whew! This week, I'm busy getting ready for this weekend's Edmonton Expo! But worry not... Sam and Fuzzy comics will keep rolling your way on Wednesday and Friday as usual. They even feature the return of a familiar face we haven't seen in a while! What more do you need? Nothing! (Except for food, shelter, etc.)

I also posted a couple recent pin-up-y and superhero-y con sketches on my tumblr. Did you know: I have a tumblr? Because I do.

Come back on Wednesday for more comics. Pow!

Thanks for all the kind words about the new story, everyone! I'm glad you all are having fun with it. (I know I am!) It's been a little  while since I posted a strip early on Patreon as a backer bonus, so if you're a backer and you're impatient to see what happens next, I've gone ahead and posted Monday's strip early in my activity feed. I'll probably also include a little of the development work for this story in the next issue of S&F Extra. Enjoy!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Crossover Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"As some one who has been reading both Sam and Fuzzy and Questionable Content (actually QC is how I first heard about S&F) for the past 9 years, after Monday's comic I need to know, are S&F and QC officially in the same universe now?" -Tripp

Well, in the QC universe, artificially intelligent robots live freely among humans aboveground, while in the S&F universe, they live underground in secret. So I'd put my money on them being separate universes in a shared multiverse, and the ambassador's interpreter being an alternate-reality Pintsize.

I suppose, though, you could try to argue that QC takes place in the future of S&F, when the robots have gone public! But then where are all the vampires in QC? TOUGH QUESTIONS.

"When Jess transforms into a much smaller buddy bear, what happens to all her extra mass?  Does she become a super-dense buddy bear or did she have the consistency of whipped cream as a human-sized being?  What are her (size) limits for transforming into different shapes?" -Alan

Not to overthink the nonsensical nature of Jess' powers, but I picture her base slug form as being huge and spongey, her human form as relatively "normal" density and weight compared to other humans, and her Buddy Bear form as being very compact and heavy. I think something as small as a Buddy Bear or sexy toaster is probably pushing pretty close to the apex of her abilities, but don't hold me to that!

"The Robot Ambassador's torso kind of looks like Dr. Robotnik's... flying... vehicle... thing. Intentional, or subliminal?" -Jesse

More or less intentional. It's a good look! I don't know what he uses the big headlight for, though. I guess... seeing in the dark.

Also, it's called the Egg Mobile or the Egg-o-matic, Jesse. Come on!

That's a wrap for this week! Come back on Monday for more Robot Ambassador, more Buddys, more Pintsize and more general nonsense. See you then!
