Flicked Off

I don't think that's how that works, Flick.

In other news: over on my social media, I've shared a few more of the "alternate universe Fuzzys" I drew last year based on Patreon backer suggestions! You can see 'em all on my Instagram or Twitter. (Or, you can see all my past monthly "art vote" bonus pieces and vote for future ones by backing my Patreon at any level.)

(Re)Meet the Band

This week's scene is a surprisingly rare moment in S&F history... a scene in which all the members of Noosehead are present! There is absolutely no reason for anyone to know the names of all the members of Noosehead. But hey, if you really wanted to, they are:

Nicole - Lead Singer
Malcolm - Guitar
Flick (the guy who lights his head on fire) - Guitar
Ali (the cat) - Bass
Ox
(The big guy) - Drum Kit
Dixon (the guy with a knife stuck through his head) - Bongos
Limbly (the dude with a stitched mouth and no arms) - Timpani Drum
DJ Freshfoot (the guy with a cage on his head) - Turntables
Muffins (the guy in a rabbit mask) - Making feedback noises with a microphone
Dancing Guy (the guy with the big teeth and cape) - Interpretive Dancing
Triangle (the normal looking man in a suit) - Triangle

And then of course, rounding out the roster is a Sheet of Looseleaf Paper (which was hastily made an official member when the band's record deal required them to have "13 members"), and also a Second Sheet of Looseleaf Paper (which was added to the 13-member roster when Noosehead's original lead singer, Sidney, left the band).

Now you know! Even though you didn't need to. Come back on Wednesday for our next comic!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Battlevoid Edition

"What happened to Invader Zim 49? Wasn't it supposed to come out on Wednesday?" -Dave

Ooh... it was delayed! I actually didn't realize they never announced the delay, until the old release date arrived and folks started asking me where it was. But I've checked with the publisher, and they told me the new release date is February 19th!

For those who don't know, issue 49 of Invader Zim is the final chapter in a big four part story that I wrote called "Battle Void"! It's actually been quite a while now since I finished the script, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the big finale land in readers' hands. This was my favourite thing that I've written for Zim so far, and I'm glad to hear that folks have been enjoying it!

(And for those who enjoy my Zim stuff, I'm happy to report that you can look forward to more in the future!)

"What will become of Sam and Fuzzy Six Years Earlier and Sam and Fuzzy Race to the Bottom? Personally, I'm a big fan of dead trees." -Justin

Dead tree editions will be Kickstarting soon! It'll be a two book "Race to the Bottom" set that collects the Six Years Earlier mini-volume and all of the giant Race to the Bottom volume. (The first book collects Six Years EarlierSocial Hacking, Crossed Wires, and Unfixable; the second book contains Deep Down, Rock Bottom, Brain Damage, Fix Your Problem, and the various side stories that ran between chapters.)

I am hoping to have the Kickstarter ready to launch in mid February! I actually thought I might have it running by now, but it is taking a little more time that expected to prep. (Since it's a two book set, with both hardcover and softcover versions, there's a lot of front and back cover art to draw!)

"If Jess ran into her parents outside the slug homeland would she even recognize them??" -Alan

Probably not. And they might not recognize her, either! They've seen her in her human form before, but they haven't seen a lot of humans in general, so we probably all kinda look the same to them.

That's a wrap for this week, team. See you on Monday with our next comic!
