Can you feel the sunshine

It's Fidgital! (A reminder, Fidgital can be here because this particular chapter takes place two weeks prior to this one.)

Come back on Wednesday for our next comic!

Sam and Fuzzy Q & A:  Musgrave Edition
Got a question you want answered? Just drop me an email with "Q & A" in the subject line!

"Will the antics of Reginald P. Musgrave feature in this next story? I know you promised to bring Kate Sanders back as a villain but old Reginald is a much more interesting character" -Lilly

Y'know, I have actually been tempted! I actually kind of miss Trevor. A couple of times, I've considered doing some actual comics about his ludicrous backstory or improbable solo adventures as a joke.

But I haven't decided yet if that's what I actually want to do with the Trevor character yet, or if I'd rather use him in another way. I guess I will think about it! (Hopefully not for another 17 years.)

"Hey, it's Lance! Is Lance PoC and we just never saw him in the new art style, or is this just a quirk of how you shaded this scene?" -Alexander

The former! Lance is black. But because of S&F's limited monochrome pallette, it used to be something that was only noticible in his rare full-colour appearances... like on the cover of the softcover version of the Classic Omnibus:

But, now that I've added more grayscale shading to the comic art (as discussed in this previous Q and A), Lance can have a visible skintone in his black-and-white appearances, too.

"What's the weirdest/strangest/grossest commission request that you've ever had to turn down? I imagine some people ask for some really weird stuff." -Doug

Honestly, nothing springs to mind! I mean, I'm not sure I've ever had to turn down a commission requests because it was, like, offensive or something. I do get some weird requests at conventions sometimes -- like drawing the Fantastic Four as sea creatures, or a pair of velociraptors doing the "king of the world" scene from Titanic -- but I don't think those count, since I don't turn them down, haha!

To be honest, the vast majority of my commissioners are already familiar with my work. So generally speaking, they ask for the kinds of things they know me for: S&F stuff, pet portraits, pin-up stuff, and so on. (And of course, people also ask for portraits of themselves, their friends, and family -- but I think everyone gets asked to draw those.)

That's all for this week, team! But come back on Monday for our next comic.
